Default Maybe Prairie 700

If all goes well tomorrow morning, maybe i will be riding a p700 by the afternoon. That is if the dealer and i can come to an agreement.I am wanting to ask any prairie owners if they like there machine.Any problems so far with the 700.I think i am going to go with the winch instead of the snowplow.I know you have to buy the mounting plate,is there anything else you have to buy to mount the winch.Any cooling problems so far.I read where they upsized the radiator. On the winch is it hard to hook up,are the instruction clear on how to hook it up.Sorry so many questions.Anxious to go to the dealer tomorrow. Thanks GVance.Any replies appreciated.

What is the price you paid out the door. I purchased mine in mid July for 6750.00 + tax But that included the Warn 2.5i and the first service also. The winch should come with the mounting bracket also, dont let the dealer charge you for it should be included!!!! The only thing I can complain about with mine is the front tube bumper is very very weak. I used it to winch against and well i got a dent in it now along with the mesh right below it has bent to from small saplings in the woods. I think the P650 had better protection. The winch was easy, its a tight fit but easy. It is also a tight fit for the winch switch on the handle bars also, with the way the plastic is set up on the bars. But if you have any questions let me know.

gvance,

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the p700. I had both a Kodiak (for hunting and mudding) and a VForce (for speed and light trail use), and sold them for the p700. The Prairie does everything well, and isn't too much slower than the frighteningly fast VForce. Good luck.

If you are getting the promo winch, by all means go for it. If you want to upgrade to the 3.0ci, you can remove the 2.5ci and sell it on ebay for 240.00 and then get a 3.0ci off of ebay for around 365.00. Letting the dealer do the promo install is a plus. I am in the process of installing a 3.0ci on a friends p650. What a pain in the asp. I am a industrial hi-speed production line tech \ machinist and I tell you, let a practiced dealer throw the 2.5 on. If you upgrade it's just a matter of disconnecting the wires and bolts and swapping it out. Just make sure the 3.0ci has 2 flat washers between the mounting plate and the winch on all 4 bolts or the winch housing may bind to the frame.

Good Luck.

The P-700 is a great bike. The Kaw. promotional stuff is great. Cheap money for 3 yrs. and a $69 Warn 2.5 winch to boot. It sold me!
