Default actuator

well, to make a long story short i brought my 650 in to get the belt tightened and the dealer wound up replaceing the kebc actuator ($289 not happily spent) he said that the actuator was sticking causeing a high pitched squeeling noise once every 20 or so times i shut it off. After heated debate i told them to leave the new actuator on and to cough up the old one. i ripped the old one apart today and every thing is a clean as clean can be. i want to test it and make sure it works (which i think it will) and sell it on ebay for $100. i am wondering how i test it to make sure it is working without puting it on the bike. thanks

In the Service Repair Manual there is a test on the wires that can be done to check the actuator. Sorry but my SRM was borrowed by a buddy so I can't relay you the correct readings for the testing of the unit. Maybe someone else on this site will have the SRM & will give you the testing info.
