Im not shure but I do know that the tecat 4 has a very fast engen and stock would smoke a lt 250R every time.

both of them are nice bikes, the tectate is faster but you should go with a trx250r. they are more reliable and you can make them beet anythink, honda 250r's are still king. but if you really wanna go all out get and lt500r. they are sapose to be the fastest production quad ever made.thats pretty good when they stopped making them in the early 1990's

I'd go for the Tecate, just to have a unique quad, esp. if it was a project quad. You really never saw many of them, and they are pretty rare today. Kawi only made them for 2 model years, so be prepared to have a harder time getting parts for it than the other 250's. I've had the LT250R and TRX250R "back in the day". I remember the Tecate smoking both of them pretty easily in stock form.
