warn winch contactor mount

where did everybody mount the contactor on their 650. the instructions say on storage box, seems to exposed

I put mine here. I would put it there again. It does get hit with mud, but it is waterproof so it is fine. The tires don't come close. Other electrical stuff is there anyway.

I did see some room under the front plastc, I think, but I feel that it would be a lot of work to mount it there, and it would be a pain to get to if it ever had a problem.

Nyroc I am sad your site is gone! Its late Friday night, I'm installing my Warn Winch on my '03 prairie 650 and I need pictures [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Hope your back "on line" sometime!!

Default warn winch contactor mount

Warn sells a mount kit for the contactor cheap. It u-bolts it to a frame cross tube kinda under the battery.

Thanks therock, I ended up getting the "right" mounting kit and also the cable rolling peice too.
