Default Primary Spring Replacement

Man, without Nyloc's website, a search on this is useless.
Do you have to remove the entire "Driven Pulley" to remove and replace the Primary spring in order to install a Pink primary spring on a V-Force? thx in advance, Putt

Kevin, I can't thank you enough, I was way off, looking at the service manual, I thought the primary spring was under the rear (driven) pulley, not the front (Drive) pulley. Seems real simple, thx, Putt

On the back of the cover, 2 of the holes have short sleeves sticking out about 1/4 inch. You can see them as soon as you turn the cover over. They must be lined up with the corresponding larger holes in the primary clutch.

Notice on the face plate there is an arrow. That arrow should be directly over an arrow that looks just like it on the spider.

Those are aglinement marks, for balance.

Putt;

Rotateing weight robs HP, so any weight saving on anything that turns, will increase RPM's. For pulling my tires robbed so much power, that it killed my Rpm's, I couldn't find lighter fly weights so I started lightening my clutch and anything that turned to get the RPM's back up.

The bike will rev faster and get to speed quicker. We have done clutches from the holes like kevin has all the way to removing cooling fins on the back side of the clutch.

Go to Dalton's site and look at their overdrive clutch plate, they went one step farther than the holes and removed every other section, by doing this they allow the spider to move more, giving more top end.

Good luck with the spring!

Works very similar to lightening the flywheel on your engine, lets the RPM's build quicker.
Very good tip Shotgun, I'd never thought of it until I saw yours.
