V Force Jetting Tricks
Hi Kawy, the best way is on my Dyno. LOL. The V is very easy to jet because you don't even have to remove the carbs. just remove the plastic airbox cover and black side piece and you can get at the bowls. Up here in Nova Scotia the only thing I've had to change form a stk V to stk with duals, to ported with cams and compression, to 785cc ported with bigger cams is the main jet.
With porting, cams and compression with MBRP duals we run 172 and 168 mains.
Happy jetting.

The only thing I remove is the air box , ( seat and plastic off course )
I changed the stock bowl screws for allen headed bolts. Much easier to remove. I can change the jets in only a few minutes. Taking the air box off , changing the needles ... maybe 15 minutes.
never do I take the carb loose from there mountings.

Here's how I do it. I can have both carbs done in under 10 minutes easily.

Kawy,
I have changed the 4 corner screws on both carbs to stainless hex heads, I have found the stock screws strip very easily especially when doing adjustments trail side (this primarily due to the fact that you have to hold the screwdriver on the incorrect angle). I only remove the belt cover snorkel. Then with a long allen-key (with a rounded end that allows one to remove a hex head at up to a 30 degree angle) I am able to get both carb bowel cover off and access the jets. With this set up I can change my jet quicker then both spark plugs.
Carbon Fiber HiPer Rims... How do yo like them? Are using Honda hubs?
P.S. Nice job Kevin

Rocket Joe I love my HiPer rims, they have really took a beating and show very little as far as battle wounds. I race Hare Scrambles every other weekend and it is amazing what a beating a pair of rims take. These HiPer rims are great and would recommend them to anyone who is serious about there quad. They are very expensive however but isn't everything that is great!

I think if you were just testing jets, and not really riding around much, you could leave the plastic and snorkel off. That should allow you to switch both jets in about 3-4 minutes with an electric screwdriver. I also like to jack up the right side of the quad to get a better angle (you dont have to crouch so much).
I also replaced the 8 carb screws with better ones.
Dynoray, you seem to have a nice setup there. I wonder if you have any airbox mods. Those mains are huge.
