best pipe and jet combination for p700/650?????????????
#1
I am wondering what is the best pipe for the 700 prairie. I would like a noticable felt difference in power evenly distributed from holeshot on up to top end. I would like to know what people are using that works well, both pipe and jet combinations that work well on either the p650 or the p700. Right now I have the DG holeshot module, epi black spring and DG snorkel with 26 inch mudlights on my p700. I would appreciate any pipe/jet suggestions or other things that will improve overall preformance.

There is definatly a power loss but not as bad as 589s or heavier tires. I would say you notice it most from 0-25 mph. Some people say that they dont notice a differece with the holeshot module but with the larger tires I deffinatly noticed a difference, off the line it seems to wheelie eazier than stock. Over all I love these tires ,no real wear after 500 miles and a good combination of handeling and mud preformance I just want my mid range power back

I just installed the HMF....it is a very nice system, and makes a big difference in power throughout (though I didn't dyno it). It is most definitely loud; I used 145 / 148 jets. The throttle response increase was impressive. Good luck!

If you run a search on this forum, you should find a discussion of pipes for a P650. I recall reading many threads from people that were unhappy with their Big Gun pipes and the Mike Penland series Big Gun pipe. Seems there is a serious problem with the rivets coming loose and B.G. refuses to warranty the problem in some instances. Again, I have no personal knowledge of this problem...its just something I've read on this forum (and other forums).

Thought I would jump in here with my two cents worth.
I have had the Penland Big Gun on my Prairie for a year now. Other than the fact that it has gotten a little louder (probably needs to be repacked), it has performed flawlessly. I periodically check to see if the rivets are coming loose, but have never found any.
I think one or two people may have had trouble with theirs when they first came out, but I haven't heard anything lately. It is a great system. I like mine alot.
