Praire 650 & Snow dust
I can make the belt not slip by driving through big powder drifts I guess or just live with it. Going through normal snow is not bad and the P650 works awesome. Its just the snow that flys over the handlebars and over my head when I fly through big drifts, the snow dust in the air gets sucked into the intake. It doesn't suck any snow from turning and such, even though my outlaws toss around snow big time.
I think the outwears / K&N Prefilter idea is good, if they use it on air filters and it doesn't affect the volume of air being sucked in then it should work on the CVT intake.
I just don't know how accessible the intake is incase of removal. If anyone can give me a heads up on how accessible the CVT intake is, that would be great.

the outerwears prefilter is a good idea... you may be able to reach it by removing the center cover ( over the radiator cap ), if that doesnt work, again you may be able to access it by removing the rear piece of the throttle side front inner fender...
I have run my CVT prefilter through out the hot summer, with no adverse effects, as long as the filter is not too restrictive, & is cleaned resonably often, I don't think you'll have any problems
