Cant use right hand break on 360P
I have a 360 prairie that the Right hand break control will not compress. THe foot pad that it is tied to operates normally. I can force it closed, and see the break light come on, but can not fully compress it. Is this related to the cold (it recently dropped below 30 here, and never owned it through a winter yet) or something else. If anyone knows how I can correct this, I would appreciate the guidance, as I am quite mechanically enept.

if you have a cable oiler, try that, or you could try to put some gas line antifreeze into the cable... the same thing happened to our 3.5 year old 300 Prairie, however the cable was just shot... since yours is much newer, I'd suspect that mud & or water got trapped & frozen into your cable... in late fall I usually like to lube my cables to insure they are lubed, but also insure that all the "summer fun" is out of the cable, before it freezes...

I only do about 1/2 of the work on my quads, so I usually take it to the dealership for service in the fall ( for things like lubing the cables )... you could purchase a cable luber... but as gas line antifreeze is nearly like water, I'd try disconnecting the cable from the hand brake lever, & 3-4 times pour the alcohol over the cable end, trying to get it to run down the cable ( small squeeze bottle or eye dropper may help )... since 9 times out of 10, the frozen part is in the last foot of cable, down by the rear brake, it may take awhile to seep its way down that far... if you can warm up the cable ( heated garage, etc... ), & the cable doesn't move freely, then you have other problems... some times they fray in side the cable... in this case, you'll need to replace the cable... if you are unable to get enough alcohol down into the cable, with it on the quad, or you are unable to find a place to warm it up... remove it completely, & take it into the house... of course if it is still under warrenty, take it back to the dealer...
