Default ?? what are the best all around air mods for the v-force

ok i am getting to the end of things i can do to my v-force for now, until the modules, limmiters, and all that stuff gets on the market.
i have put yoshi duals and rejeted and now i need more air flow
i see the the big snorkel from diamond but for the kind of ridding i do i feel it would not agree with the mud and water.
i have heard of air box mods and vents, some input and ideas would be helpful on them.
also has anyone installed the dual intake kit from cc performanc and ifso what kind of results did you get.

well i will sit back and gather any info yall have to give.

thanks for all the help in the past and i look forward to the help i will receive in the future

I'm kinda like you crash. I don't get into a lot of mud. I just removed the stock snorkel and unsnapped the front clips of the airbox lid and propped the lid open to get about an inch or so opening around the front. I jetted to 160/165 and it works fine. I am at about 1100 ft. here in eastern Ky. Hope this helps. Unless you get into deep water or mud, I think this will save some money. The air is free and this is the cheapest way to get it I think I will use the savings to get the Dalton clutch cover. By the way, I have tried running mine with the lid completely off. It's simply too much. I thought about trying this with even bigger jets, but I'm not sure how that much fuel and air will get along with the stock carbs No ace mechanic here, but it stands to reason everything has it's limit. It sure is fun trying to find the limits though

I have TPI 1" vents. They are like $5 for a pack of six. They are little hollow foam filled cylinders that snap into 1" drilled holes. But I never deal with water, just dry sand. They get the job done for me. You should see as much performacne gain with airbox mods as you do with a pipe.

The first day I got my pipe I was at sand moutnain at night. Nothing else to do but race raptors up sand mountain. I was loosing, but having fun. After a few races I decided to prop open my airbox. On the next race I accidently wheelied over backwards. I definitely had more power. The rest of the night, I was right in the middle of the pack. Later I got some TPI vents and closed the lid.

GREEN700- How do you like your HMF slip-on? It seems to be a pretty good mod for a few hundred instead of $600-$700 for duals.

Ya, to tell the truth, I'm still glad I didn't blow $600 on duals. My V screams with the slipon. I'd ask HMF if they've changed the design any. Mine leaked air at the stock header and I had to make a little adapter to fix it. I talked to HMF about it and they said to send it in and they'd fix it for free. I never did. Maybe they've figured out how to make them by now. I probably bought the 1st one. The opening for the stock header was sized too big. What were they thinking?

I would disagree, I had the slip on form HMF, traded back to them for the duals, BIG difference. GET the duals!!!
