Default Tires for ice and hard pack snow

I finally got the the tires on the bike today. 250 screws per tire. The traction is awesomw. I will need to do up the fronts but the stockers are getting a little worn. Wheelied down the hardpack drive!!! Unreal!!

I will be using these for tooling around the ice AND snow/hardpack inbetween snow dumps. Now I ALWAYS have something to ride.

For those of you on the snow belt who sled as well, check out the sled trailer mod to run quad/sled or 2 sleds. The rear eyelets are stainless steel and spaced 17" apart so a sled track will fit inbetween. One the front, I bolted 2 U claps to the main ski clamp so I can hold down a sled or clamp the steel bar to the deck and I now have a place to tie the front of the quad to.!!!

Check out the "funky" link to the pix below

I ice race my Vforce at my towns local ice track. I run 20-10-10 on the rear and 21-8-10 up front, all Chen-sing Ice racing tires. 460 Gold digger ice screws in each rear tires and 296 screws in the fronts. I have the machine lowered down with a custom lowering kit and a sway bar up front. I also have 1 1/2 wheel spacers all the way around. This thing rides like a train on rails in the corners around 50 mphs and back out the same speed, Its hard to hang on some times. can't wait till my nitro kit shows up.

Cool:

Sounds like an awesome setup. The tires I am using are Chen-Sing knock offs from Wolly Boogers. They dig in the snow fine as well. Some guys run turf tamers but I am setting up for X-country I do not intent to race, just tool around on frozen ground and have a "little traction help". I like the stock setup for all round use in the summers so I am leaving mine that way. 460 screws/tire??? Wow, I imagine those are right through.
