I am going to try and make it. I had bad luck at the Ironman a month ago, but I will give her another try. This race is much closer to home than any of the others.

I will tell you one thing though; the first year racer class ain't no cakewalk. Some of the guys in that class have 10-15 thousand dollar machines and are not rookies by any means. A lot of guys get to be top of the heap in lesser races, then sign up as "first year racers" in the GNCC.

If this is your first race, don't expect to win the thing (unless you really kick some butt).

It is a blast though, probably the most fun thing I have ever done (until I crashed). You will have fun no matter where you place (just don't get the dreaded DNF).

The first year rider class is probably what you should enter. I was just a little suprised at how good the "first year rider" class was when I went. I expected this group to be a bunch of guys like me who had ridden a lot but never raced.

The V Force can compete in several classes. THe GNCC website explains it all, but I am sure that you already know all that.

Go for it dude. I hope to meet some forum folks at the race......Above that, I hope to finish the darn thing this time.....

 

Try the Utility Unlimited. It is the home of the V. Some very fast racers though.
