One thing I forgot to mention, when installing the stock needles, I added two shims per needle in order to richen up the idle to quarter throttle in 20 to 30 degree weather. My buddies bike did not need the shims but mine did. Just thought I would let you know, hope it helps.

WVBM... why did you reinstall the stock needles... aren't the Dynojet needles a superiour design over the stock needles ??? they could be set to stock position, if required ???

Newbeatle: The Dynajet needles are tapered to rich to allow the Dial A Jet to function. If the bike is in no need of fuel because the jetting is rich then the need for fuel is not present. By installing your stock needles, this creates a lean condition (based on my modifications) that allows the Dial A Jet to operate. The Dail A Jet then provides an atomized fuel delivery that weighs one-tenth of the standard needle/main jet circuit fuel delivery. End result, the bike runs at a perfect air/fuel ratio thus providing an increase in horsepower, throttle response, fuel mileage, rpm's and unlimited wheelie power. The Thunder Products website explains it better than I but I hope I made some sense in the matter.
