They can be welded, if need be.

WVBartMan, a couple of Dial-A-Jet questions for the P650/700:

Did you buy the Positive Seal Snorkel Kits?

Did you buy the XL Delivery Tubes to reach the middle of the carburetor throat?

What about the Carb Talk Kit? Would a Prairie benefit from this as well?

If I buy the DJ-113-AP kit for $109.95 - Does that include (2) Dial-A-Jet's (one for each carb)?

Thanks

PRAIRIE700... IMO, of the Thunderproducts site...

the snorkle is not for you engine intake air, it only effects fuel regulation, & is for high speed snow machines... although it may have a place on high speed drag quads, I doubt you would see a need to use one for normal use...

the extended delivery tubes are for 40mm & bigger carbs... I thought we had twin 39mm carbs ???

since the kit is for a 650 / 700 twin, & it is nearly twice the price of the single carb motors... it should be the kit you need, for both carbs

Scott;

It wasn't that the 02 didn't have drain plugs, in my case, it was I couldn't use them. The fittings that were sent did something to my floats, made them stick open.

Turn the key on and we would pump gas out the over flow. That why we had to drill.

Three years is to long to remember, but it's coming back.

Prairie700: When I called Thunder Products and placed my order, Lonn sold me the complete kit that included the snorkel kit. The snorkel kit provides clean, cool air to the Dail A Jet that is not subjected to turbulance inside the air box. If the Dial A Jet was outside the air box the snorkel kit may still be needed to keep mud and water from entering it. The kit comes with a complete instruction book along with everything needed to do the install except a drill bits and a drill. Call Lonn, he can explain it all better than I, www.thunderproducts.com

I wonder if lacking the snorkle kit, is why SHOTGUN had problems with his initial installation ????

I have a comment on Jetting! Keep in mind that Dyno Jet kits will work OK as long as you have NO AIR BOX MODS! The kit does not have any jets large enough to accommodate increased air flow. Kawi also does not list jets large enough for air box mods! If you need larger jets you can get them from WWW.carparts.com tel# 216-635-1099

Mike

I do have the snorkel, but don't have them hooked up. I think my problem was that the fitting that the hose going to the dail-a-jet was to long. when they went into the drain plug, they were long enough to go up and hold the flots open.

I bought the snorkel but wasn't convinced that they were needed. They seem to work good without them. I didn't want to drill any more holes in my airbox than needed.

olddirtrider; dail-a-jet, to have room to work, you need to go down 2 jet sizes, most people with air mod, puts them back to the stock jetting or close. I sometimes use Dyno jets with mine,

not sure what size as they are drill out, somewhere around 200.
