mojave stroker crank
#1
In trinity racing their is a 6 mm stroker crank for the moajve. Sorry if it is a stupid question but wha is it. Has somebody put it in their mojave?
Also what work do you ahve to do to the piston to put, also to the cases?

A "stroker" kit simply means you are increasing the stroke of the engine. The stoke is the distance the piston travels in the cylinder from top to bottom. This is usually done by either replacing the rod or the crank.
Engine displacement is defined by piston size (bore) multiplied by stroke (explained above).
Increasing either of these results in more displacement (CC's or cubic centimeters)
By installing a stroker crank or longer rod requires the engine to be damn near completely disassembled. When using a stroker kit you want to ensure you have proper valve clearance. Reason for this is, if the valves can't get out of the way of the piston in time, *BOOM*. You may have to change the cams, valves, or valve springs.
I would definitely classify this as an advanced repair and not to be taken lightly. In other words, if you've never taken an ATV engine apart before, you may want to find someone else to do it for you, no offense.
