What about getting the scratches out. I have told to use fine sandpaper but I don't know how fine, or should I start with a little bit more course paper and work my way down to the finer grit. Anybody tried this or any other tricks for getting scrathes out. Any help is appreciated.

I agree with fishslab. Get it muddy and roll it over once. Then you won't worry about the small scratches.

Problem is I did flip it over, that's where the scratches came from and it bugs me a lot. It's not even three weeks old.

Those are only the first of many scratches you will have, unless you don't plan on ridin. They are character marks. Badges of honor, if you will. If this is a show bike you will want new plastic because no scratches come out 100%. I actually use Armor Ultra Shine when I want a shiny look. Helps bead off water and mud to. Just don't get it on your seat.
I have not used the plastic restorer, I just saw it in the catalog.

I am not in a union. I do not approve of their buisness practices. They also do not pay well but pocket the billions.

when i first got mine i was pretty worried about scratches and stuff... after a few times taking it through some trails and knocking into all sorts of brush and crap, i realized its damn near impossible to keep it scratch-free, especially since all the trails around here seem too narrow for bigger quads. last week i tapped the back of another quad and it scratched the whole front piece, broke the bottom part of it too. i still put formula 2k on it after every wash/ride but hell, im giving up on keeping it looking nice. just buy new if you go to sell it or anything..

Aaaahhhh the "new bike" syndrome. You wash it as soon as you get home and pamper it like your first born child. For the first few rides... Then you start waiting until the middle of the week to wash it so its ready for the weekend. A few rides later your washing it right before you load it in the truck to go out and get it dirty again. Then you roll it a couple of times, decide "it looks better dirty" and say h**l with it and only rinse it off every now and then to get the big chunks off. If the plastic doesn't have gouges, holes, and cracks in it you ain't ridin' hard enough!

MotoXtreme, I did the EXACT same thing last Saturday......picked up my brand new V-Force in a mild snow storm, trailered it, wrapped it with a tarp because of all the dirty slush being thrown up on the trailer and when I got it home I noticed the bath towls I put between the tarp and plastic fell off during the ride. "fogged up" the plastic....hard to notice on the green parts but very noticeable on the black nose. Trust me when I say it won't bother you as much as time goes on. I'm the most anul retentive, obsessive person you could ever meet and with my Polaris Sportsman 700 I use to have every scratch drove me insane. After the plastic started to get scratches all over it bothered me less and less. This tarp/ V-Force thing last Saturday bugged me for about 10 min. and now I'm over it. And to IMPORTH8R, you crack me up........"wash it just to get the chunks off", that's funny as h@#*.......and true.
