Default getting back the factory shine on plastic????????

I recently trailered my newly purchased prairie and had to wrap it with a plastic tarp due to all the salt spray on the roads. I did put a cloth sheet under it but a good part of the rear fenders suffered from tarp abrasion. It looks like the plasitc is kind of clouded from the rubbing. It just makes me ill since the rest of the machine is nice and shiny. Is there a way to bring back the shine? Any good products available? Thanks.

Fishslab, Have you used that product yourself? If so, how well does it work?

I have found that pledge works well on plastic to give it a shiny apperance but be careful what you use to wipe it off with, make sure its very soft material, i use those swifter things those are cheap and very soft.

I used Plastic Restore, it looks nice until you ride it or get any gas or cleaner on the plastic. In my opinion, it's junk. If you want the same kind of shine, sand your plastic with 600 grit and coat it with liquid floor wax.

I have used the silicone based tire shire stuff, clear spray on liquid,it holds up well to a few washings,it's not a permanant solution but it looks good for awhile.

In the past, I used the Honda pro spray cleaner on my plastics. It works ok. But then I found Plexus. It works much better than the old cleaner and it even makes the water bead up big time (like a car wax) when you wet it down. It seems to last for a few washes and then you need to reapply. It cost me about $8 per spray can at my local kaw. dealer. You can also order online at http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com

Now if I could just find the perfect polish for my C-series rims...hmmm.

Happy trails...
