dont forget displacements are not the same between the 2. If weight was the only factor, the Predator 90 would be the ultimate drag quad.

FYI: To maintain the same acceleration rate in a drag race, you must increase hp 4 times for every time you double the weight of the vehicle. Of course, this is just a general rule of thumb and there are many variables to consider.

Happy trails...

I raced a few kfx 400's at Silver lake dunes in Mich and had no trouble beating them. I had to catch and pass the ones with paddles.

It will be close in the sand. I had a hecek of a time launching my vforce when it was stock in the sand. I would have to play catch up and on a stock v that is hard to do. I raced my buddy on his piped and jetted kfx400 when I had my v all jetted up for my duals, but, stock exhaust, and he would beat my by 2 bikes or so in the sand. We just raced yesterday and I would just pull away and keep on pulling. I think that on hard pack it wouldn't be close at all. I really need some paddles since the biggest advatage of the v is the launch.

I have to say a V in the sand is very different form a V in the dirt. Last time I was at Coral Pink, I saw a V with Gecko's, and it was absolutely pathetic...not the quad, but the traction it was getting. It would literally spin until it had dug up 5 feet of sand before it would launch. I recently raced a V at Pismo with duals (not sure what else), and beat him VERY easily, but then again look at all the work I have done compared to him only having pipes.

Hey Bulldogz, I was thinking of taking a trip to Coral Pink soon. I have never been there and was wondering if it would be worth a 4 hr drive...Do you know if there is any lodging nearby? Thanks for any help..
