I know you're looking for a quick fix... the threads seem similar to the cap on my truck... I'd find the closest fit, & head to a junk yard, or auto parts store... Good luck... Please let us know what fits, just in case it happens to some one else...

I did teather my seat, as I did lose one trailering on a very windy day... & yes it cost me $200.00 to replace it ( I did order a grey one off the red '02 model, for my green quad, as I've since removed all the brown from my quad )... teathering the gas cap would also be a good idea...

I finally found a cap that works fine after visiting 3 stores & no luck. Its a Altrazine 4L herbicide 2 gallon jug cap.Fits great.Any big farmer has plenty of empty ones. The gas tank is vented so I think its ok.I looked for the lost one for 2 hrs & no luck.Called dealer,he doesn't have one & wants $41.00.I've got 3 of these. Thanks for the replys. go to buykawasaki.com and get the part number for a factory cap, then go to ronayer.com and put in the part number to get his price.........

Kawi part number : 51049-1128

http://www.ronayers.com/browseparts....ing=51049-1128

how does 29.13 sound.........much better than you stealer.
