I have an 04' v-force and when i first start it in the morning it sounds like the engine is knocking or something. it does this until it gets good and warmed up. anybody know what i am talking about or how to fix it???

Yeah, I know what your talking about. What weight of oil are you running? I had the same problem when I was running 20W50. Try running a lighter weight oil during these cold months and see what happens.

 

I dont know if mine had a is simular problem but hear goes.

Yeha in the morning warm weather on not I think I had the same problem.

You need to listen closely to the moter! is it a knock like sound? Like it is missing or has a slight spudder.

Mine had a spudder to it along with the knock noise. It was this knock that I am talking about and was hearing. When I would 1st start it up it would run and then in a quick instant this quick knock/spudder/miss. Then it would run fine again and then anouther quick nock/spudder/miss again and this would go on until it was warmed up.

Turns out the carbs were off sinc buy just a little.
