Default VForce Gear Selector

Has anyone had trouble with thier gear selector moving? I can not get mine to tighten, it slips and makes gear slection a two handed process. Help!

Haven't had any problems with mine, has just gotten stuck a few times. Don't really know what it could be, just make sure your pressing down the foot/rear or whatever brake...and...guess that'd be about it. Sorry I could be no help.

Jaybe,

I had the very problem you discribe. I took my V to the dealer to have it looked at under warranty. What I found out is that the gear selector assembly relies on two methods to keep it from slipping. 1) the pinch bolts and 2) a metal stud that is molded into and protrudes from the inner portion of the gear selector assy. The stud mates up to a hole in the handlebars specifically designed for the purpose. The metal stud on my gear assy. was broken off. No amount of tightening of the pinch bolts would have held the assy in one place. It was replaced under warranty. Problem solved.
