Default Decided on the V-Force

Went down to the dealership tonight and looked at some quads. They had a YFZ-450 sitting right next to the V-Force. As some of you know, I couldn't decide between these two. I sat on both, and realized the YFZ is too small. In fact, it seemed scary small. Ergonomically, the V-Force felt right the moment I sat on it. The dealer wouldn't go below $6,918 out-the-door (remember, the Federal Republic of California charges 7.75% sales tax). Is this a good price?

I was able to do about $500 better than that in Phoenix with similar sales tax and Title included in the OTD price. The southwest US seems to have some big networks of dealers that very seldom will offer a competetive price. The first dealer I went to insisted that he could go no lower than $8000+ OTD :-( I kept looking until I found an independent dealer and saved myself $1600. From what I've read, there are parts of the US where you can get them for well under $6000 OTD.

That doesn't sound like a very good deal. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to get one for around $6400 O.T.D. kere in Kalif***ia.

I searched ATV Trader Online for months, and finally found mine...
I was actually looking for a new KFX400, but came accross my Vforce
and couldnt pass it up for the price.. I even searched nearby states
and ended up driving about 3 hrs one way for mine

At first, they wanted over $8,000 OTD. They wanted to charge about $1,000 for "assembly" and "transportation" fees. I also read these other posts of people back east who pay WAY less than we do. I would drive out of state, but then I have to wonder if the California DMV is going to give me grief.

I got mine out here (Los Angeles) for 6800 OTD (only because I was too lazy to drive a few hours woulda cost me 100 bucks anyway LoL) What you may consider doing is going to vegas and saving about 500 bucks and making a nice trip out of it (plenty of places to ride on the way back too. If I had to do it again that's what I'd do... I doubt the dmv will give you any grief tho..

If you decidee to do that I saw another post for Vegas prices that were pretty good... seemed like 6300 OTD
