Oops, I rolled the P650 today!

I was side-hilling today on our property and the Prairie just took a dive and threw me off! Luckily, I was going slow, and it just tipped on it's side, scratched the plastic a little. Anyway, that front end seems to dive real bad, especially when cornering, which gets worse on side hills. Is this typical for the Prairie? If so, what do I have to do to fix it, without sacrificing ride quality? It seems like if the rear swingarm would twist a little, it would help, like on my Bayou. Help me out, guys!

Progressive Springs is one company with a fix for the front struts. You may want to check Ebay for any that might be up for bid.
I had the Progressive springs on my '03 P650, big improvement.

Yes it's typical ... 'the prairie dive'. The dunlops weak sidewalls and the front springs cause it. It's the only serious slam I know of on our Prairies.
Go to the Elka website and see what you think.
I'm going to install a set of their front springs tomorrow on my P650 to reduce what just happened to you. I believe it's 'Rock' who has written quite a bit about Elka (if you know how to search subject or nickname through the site; I don't).
If you like what you see, call Yann Guibeault at 1-800-557-0552. He's a good guy. His gal answers the phone in French.... you might like that too.

I love my Progressive springs on my P700!! I put them on in about 2hrs counting making a board for compressing the springs. At the lowest setting, the Progressives ride as well as stock, but eliminate the "prairie dive"... I run mine 2- turns off the bottom for even more support for sport riding, and 4- turns when I'm using my 60" Cycle country plow.
I got my Progressives for $115 delivered off Ebay from a guy in KY. He has an ATV business and usually sells them on Ebay for the same price. I ordered on a Mon, and received them on thurs to Ohio!!

What's the difference in price, and quality, of Elkas, and Progressive? I probably won't be doing any jumping. You say the tires have a lot to do with the roll, too?

A lot of people just go ahead and replace them with light mud and snows that have a stronger (more plies) sidewall and better traction.
'therock' has a link on 11/20 post which goes into his posts on the elkas vs progressives in detail.

If your not rolling your praire your not doing it right! Hell, i've rolled my praire at least 5 times, but it was my fault. Doing donuts and playing around? I have no intention of rolling my V-force though.
