Hey guys I'm not too sure about this and don't quote me please, but isn't the tank on a prairie 700 4.5 gallon. I know your talking about a v force, but I know you can't run a dual exhaust on a prairie because of the fuel tank. I would imagine since the v force is pretty much based on a prairie that the larger tank my limit you to a single exhaust. NOW LIKE I SAID I'M SURE ABOUT THIS but I think it would be worth looking into.Just my thoughts.

CRASHDOG, I'll find out from my buddy how much the tank cost....I got the tank through a friend who owns a motorcycle shop. We did a trade (gun parts for quad parts) so I never saw the price.
1SickPred, The larger fuel tank on the "V" is only deeper, not any wider so I can't see how it would effect anything by having dual exhausts but thanks for the input.....it's worth checking into, maybe I'm missing something.

A guy at my dealer runs the tank, along with dual HMFs. He didn't even know about the tanks until I picked my V up and asked if he could get them. He ordered us each one at $180 each.

They gave me a pretty good deal on the quad, compared to what other local dealers wanted. He also gave me their price on a bumper, some nerfs, a swingarm guard, a cover, and some other smaller items.

They also gave me a call a week after I took the quad home, and told me that the ignitor box was recalled. I just got back from having them install the new box. It seems that certain 04 V Forces had an older box installed at the factory. You might want to call your dealer and see if you were one of the lucky ones.

I am now waiting on front and rear Elkas to be delivered, along with the Carbonman carbon fiber hood, and my dual HMFs.

Quadfather, did your dealer mention a serial number range that received the bad igniter box? My dealer has a great bunch of guys there but they are often clueless to these kind of things or don't necessarily take these type of things serious. Unless there is a defective part that is a safety issue they have a tendency to say "your bike is fine" without really checking.

All that the dealer would tell me is that the ignitor did not have the new updates in it. I tried to get them to just let me come and pick the new one up, instead of having to haul my quad there. They wouldn't do that. They told me that they had a legal responsibility to visually inspect the quad, and then install the new box. They would not give me the vin numbers of the affected quads, only that mine was one of them.
