Default Breaking in a V-Force...with or without aftermarket dual exhaust???

I had this question posed to me. Before now I never thought about it much. While breaking in your motor is it recommended to do the proper break-in procedures in "stock" form or can you throw on aftermarket dual exhausts, re-jet and then break in the new "V"? My buddy just got his V-Force and was told to perform his break-in while the bike was still in its stock form and NOT to put on his dual exhausts that he has until the break-in is done. Does it really make a difference? ANY input would be great, thanks.

I hope it does not make a difference. I had the dealer install dual pro-circuits and jet mine before I took it home. I have about 70hrs on it and no problems. I had the valves adjusted recently and they were off a bit. Two were tight, two were lose. I was told that was normal....
