This is a question for the riders in Nova Scotia, do any of you know of anyone around here that does Powder Coating? If so, who and have you heard about them, good or bad.

What is a power coating? Is this the coating for a truck bed?

Powder Coating is when you run an electrical charge through the metal surface you are painting and it adheres the paint to the surface. It makes the paint almost bullet proof. It makes the surface of the paint really hard.

I would ask a local engine shop to see where they get there parts painted or even a reputable body shop? I know you can buy kits to powder coat parts at places like Summit Racing or Eastwood I think... I don't think you run a charge through the paint though.. I think its a process where you bake stuff in high temp like an oven.. I talked to a couple of old gear heads that did this on valve covers and air cleaner covers.. I guess it's pretty durable and nice looking!
2 cents worth..
