Default Belt explosion\KEBC problem

I smoked my belt pulling someone out of a mud hole and 3 days later at full speed the belt exploded into a bunch of small pieces and string. I dug out all the stuff and replaced the belt with P-700 belt. Now the problem, in high range everything works fine. In low range however, when I let off the gas I hear a grinding\clanking noise coming from the KEBC. Almost like gears stripping out. I may still have some junk in the spring assembly of the brake I’m taking it back down today to look at what I see. Any help is welcome.

D its sounds like you have some string stuck in kebc lever inside your cover. If the motor gets in a bind it will make a noise trying to move. So make sure that everything around the lever/spring is clean.

If it's only in low range, that should rule out a KEBC problem. As Nightryder888 said, check out the shift linkage adjustment.

Don't think it's linkage, it worked fine before the belt exploded. I took the cover off and it‘s not the KEBC it appears to be the belt itself. It's grabbing the primary clutch when you let off the gas. The added pressure from low range makes it grab, but high range works fine. I guess I don’t have the deflection correct. When I spin the belt into position it’s in spec. Any thoughts.

You may have belt crud from the explosion packed inside the primary clutch. You might have to pull it off and dis-assemble it.

The primary looks good. The secondary was loaded, but I had already cleaned it out when I replaced the belt. It’s almost like it’s getting to much grip on the primary and the teeth of the belt are jumping. There is some belt stuff on the side of the clutch, but not in the contact area. I guess I’ll try to clean off the residue. I would think that you couldn’t have to much grip, but that’s how it’s acting.
