I know KevinM drilled his and from his pictures it looks like it came out nice. Personally, I would feel more comfortable getting Dalton's clutch cover only because I don't trust my drilling. I would think the drilling must be pretty exact or you may throw her out of balance.

If your on the line about what to do and you have a press, I would give it a shot......worst case scenario you mess up your clutch cover and end up buying Dalton's anyway. Then you tell the wife "Dear, I tried to save us money but I messed up. Now if I don't replace my clutch cover I have a $6,500 + quad I can't ride". He, he, he.

Could you imagen what damage would be done if the clutch was out of balance, crank, cases, oil seal leaks, scary thoughts. I would spend the money and get the DALTON.

I was going to drill my clutch plate as well. Like you other guys, I started to think about the bad things that could happen if I didn't do it right. Needless to say I don't have the much confidence in my precision. LOL I bought the Dalton clutch plate. Now I just need to find the time to put it on.

Dido,
Go with the Dalton, It will be lighter and will add a couple mph, if you have the horsepower
