I have a set of 24 inch skat trak extremes on the back. But i often find it rather hard to turn this thing. Do you guys think instead of running my knobbies i should get a set of front sand tires? Any draw backs to running these?

no draw backs.

get some razorbacks or Mowhawks. With your tall rear tires I think the razor backs would work better.

I use 23" smooth buffs but they dont turn any better than stock nobbies.

I run 22" Kenda Dune Runners up front and they turn great, I would highly reccomend them. I bought them at Rockymountain mounted on Douglas red label rims for like $147.00. They were a big improvement over the stock knobbies.
