i wanted to write in and thank the mojave forums. i bought a brand new mojave on 12/31/03, and after reading the forums realized i needed to mod it. so after a couple of days, on the computer, i ordered all of my mods, installed them, and rode it last saturday. couldn`t be happier. thank you, and if any has any questions feel free to ask away. one other thing, whatever happend to lurch, haven`t seen anything from him in awhile.

Great to hear that you are pleased. By the way Lurch is alive and well. I have his engine for a freshening up and am building him a Greene Streak Racing swing arm. He will be ready to race this spring with his mojave all redone.

thanks for the reply on lurch, i never have seen photos of his quad, but i hear it is nice. by the way your super mojave is looking real good. i build streetrods and custom cars for a living and have tig and mig welders, ive been thinking of extending my swing arm myself(i`m a certified welder.) any suggestions if i do decide to do this. thank you

hay i am thining about ubgrading my mojave because it just doesnt have enough power. i did some searches and one guy has his mojave running around 50 hp for about 3 grand us. i am slightly leaning towards upgrading and modifying mine radically instead of buying a bigger bore. is it worth it for the power gains and is it really noticible. what other quads can you hang with on your moded mojaves

when i rode mine on saturday, i took my to lokatas and a friend brought a 250r. the mojaves quite a bit faster then the lokatas, although the lokatas seem to have a little stonger bottom end. i could do all the jumps and hillclimbs as the 250r, but topend there`s no way(didn`t expect it to). i raced a 250x, and won, but he was stock. thats just with out of the box mods, no real motor work done.

uh i think it sais in his profile but if not its in one of the mojave posts i think about carb swaps from an ex. i remember he had port and polish like stage 3 some kind of other head work, hardened rockers, stainless valves, piston, 400ex carb on special intake, some kind of valve springs, pipe and all the air filter stuff.
