Are the pictures on the dynatak web page of a 650?
My CDI has 3 plugs into it where that one only has two.
Is there something I will have to change?

If the engine is running cooler, then there is LESS wear on it.

Keep in mind, if you keep it pinned at 9000 RPM, then yeh, it's going to wear the engine out. But for normal use, it should be easier on it because you have less heat.

Ball park price will be around 235 - 250 US first production run should be the 3rd week of March. There will be less wear on the motor unless you intend on running it at 9000 rpm. Over-all temperatures will be less the OEM cdi is very restrictive.

hardwood700,

The pics are of my '02 650. You won't have to do anything as they are making one for each model/year.

Good point though - I need to put a lable on the pics so that people know what they are looking at.

Peace,

Thanks for all the info Alltoys, SgtRock. After all of this time waiting for a true plug and play performance igniter, I can't believe people are willing to spend $120 for the HL module only weeks away from the igniter's release. It just goes to show you how clever marketing can be effective. They are selling the same thing as so many others, but present it as a totally new device.

Alltoys,
Is this CDI different than the Vortex. It sounds identical to the Vortex, if different how so. The Vortex is still not out by the way! We are all waiting patiently.
