PLPD stands for public liability and property damage, this is the minimum insurance you should have, it covers you if you hurt someone or something. Just make sure you have limits you are happy with. This insurance does nothing for you if your ATV is stolen, crashed, fire, or damaged in any way for that you would need comp and or collision. I have State Farm Ins. it costs me $14 per month with $100 deductable for comp/coll for my p700.

I don't think that homeowner's insurance covers ATV in any state. I just bought from ATV-Line, which is a Markel-owned company. I live in Jackson, MS (crime central), so my rate was 338/yr. with a 500 deductible. You should get a lower rate if you don't live in an area where people tend to steal anything in sight.

i have my V-Force covered by Progressive. it's very cheap. right now i have it at the lowest level since it's winter here and i don't ride much. once spring hits i will bump it up to cover everything. so even if i'm out jumping and i breaksomething or i roll it, it will be fully covered to be fixed. that comes to like $200 a year i think.. cheap if you ask me. if the motor blows it's fixed.. if it's totaled they pay it off or get me a new one. SWEET !!
