trading my ds650 for a v-force
#1
is it worth getting rid of my 2004 ds650 for the 2004 v-force i will be getting a pipe and clutch springs for it how much slower dose it pull then my ds i like the v force looks better but i dont want a slow quad my ds is fast and i want to stay with a resonably fast quad not a slow one like the 400ex ect..
what do you think i will be doing this within a week and what gives the v force the most hp from a bolt on (not a bolt on nitrous kit lol)
thanks for your help

You will not be disapointed with the V. While it is not a DS, it has about the same kind of Torque numbers, with just a little more weight. The trick is getting everything out of it that is available. The secret to getting the most out of a KFX700 is in the Clutch and getting it to breath. Along with that, there are Big Bore Kits all the way up to 800cc already and more new hop up items hitting the market every day. There is a guy on here called KevinM, or you can find him on the Kawie Forum. He has a lot of knowledge about the V and especially the Clutch modifications. He is a good guy to get addvice from. Good Luck.

I love my DS, but I also love to ride the V-force.
The V-force has MUCH more biuld potential(hp wise) than any quad on the market today, that includes the DS,Raptor,etc,etc... I believe once you get your Clutching figured out, it only takes minor motor mods to make the V-force very competitive with modified DS's and 686 Rappys. It also looks like the future for V-force mods is looking BRIGHT!!

the V-Force is not slow it just laks top end speed (clutching). also in atv sport magazine (whic is more respectible than dirtwheels) they had a sport qued shootout and the V was the fastes to 30 mph.

All I know is that after putting just my dalton cover on with a pink spring and 3 shims along with my HMF duals and opening up my air box, I can run right next to piped Raptors for as long as they want to go. I raced my buddie over and over again and got tired fo beating him by multiple quads so I just rolled into the throttle to see if he was actually pullting me top end, and he wasn't.
