Got my 700 stuck, in my front yard :)

Don't let your dad do that ever again and do not do it yourself. The front tires should be moving when your engaging the 4x4 or else you may bust the actuator that engages the front end. I don't like the 4x4 system myself, well the way its engaged. You should have the quad rolling around atleast 3-5 mph when changing from 2x4 to 4x4. This makes things safe and you won't bust anything.

Yes it does suck, so don't go playing in an unknown mud hole while in 2wd. This is one of the few drawbacks about the Praire, the other is big tires and the diff lock. When you put on big heavy tires the diff lock needs to be tightned up to a degree where it is almost always on with no pressure on the lever. But that extra pressure is required because the front diff uses clutches and friction to lock up so the heavy tires require more clutch pressure and thus the need to tighten the diff cable up. When you do this you get your diff semi locked all the time which can be a good thing I suppose but I see in the future my diff lock not working in a couple of years with my big tires as the clutches will need replacing.
When I mention big tires, I mean heavy tires like Vamps, outlaws and mudzillas. These are heavy tires, mud lites, dirt devils, mud bugs, etc are not heavy tires.
