Default synthetic or natrual???

ok my V is due its very first oil change and im wondering how much a difference synthetic will do in the V-Force. i know that syn isnt good for break in but what about after break in is over.. i want to do everything possible to keep my motor strong as i run it hard....

just my opinion, but I would wait for 100 hours on machine before synthetic. At 50 hours I am changing my oil for the second time and will not put syn in it yet. But at 100 I think it will be ready. What brand and visc are you considering?? Mine calls for 10w40 and I think I will give Mobil 1 a shot.

I'm just about due for my second change, I'm running Maxima 10x40 now, will be switching to Amsoil 0x40 Synthetic.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Why don't you do a search? This subject has been discussed widely. Personally, I use amsoil 0W-40, but there's some talk about it being too thin for the front diff. Amsoil is made in USA and you can get a decent price if you spend $10 to be a preferred customer. Do you use synthetic in your vehicles too? If so, you can save significant bucks. Amsoil has a good website for info about petroleum vs synthetic and 0W-40 is said to replace the different oils recommended in the Prairie manuals. The Germans developed it during WWII because we bombed their oil refineries back to the dinosaur age.
