Default Steering Stabilizer for P700

Does anyone know of an available steering stabilizer for a Prairie?

It already has one, just put it in 4 wheel drive!

CF&W's seemingly smart a** remark is some what true... VFS... if your Prairie feels like it needs a steering stabilizer, there is probably something that needs adjustment, or if you are expiriencing a high speed wobble, then you may need to adjust your tire air pressure, or perhaps have defective tires... with the 4WD system, the front end is much "heavier" than a typical 2 X 4 quad... if it feels "twitchy", check your front end alienment... ( toe in / toe out )...

if you don't have a steering problem, & were just asking about the stabilizer, I don't think anyone makes on specifically for the Prairie... I have seen them available for the V Forces, & other sport quads, & perhaps on of these could be fabbed onto a Prairie

Default Steering Stabilizer for P700

Mickey Dunlap has my 700P and is doing alot of R&D work with it, the steering stabilizer is one of the things that is suppose to be in the works!
I know that some of the Prairies in running in the GNCC have them but there is some custom work done to make um work. I plan to buy a stabilizer off ebay and work on making it fit one of our other race Prairies here.

Default Steering Stabilizer for P700

My suspension is in perfect working order. Alignment is right were it should be. My steering is alittle twitchy at high speeds. Holeshot tires always do that. Makes the front end feel alittle light. My motor is not stock and exceeding 65mph is no problem. I've emailed Denton to see if they have anything.

Default Steering Stabilizer for P700

FYI: Last time I checked, the GNCC rules do not allow steering stabilizers in the Utility Stock class...so that would mean you must run a P650/P700 equipped with a steering stabilizer in the Utility Modified class (or some other non-stock class).

Of course, I realize that PW's highly modified P700 would only qualify for the Utility Modified class anyway...but I wanted to point this out in case someone here wants to race GNCC in the Utility Stock class and was interested in steering stabilizers.

Default Steering Stabilizer for P700

If you have your toe-in set at Zero try toeing her 1/4 turn on each side. Trial and error is the key. I went 1/4 out from zero and it helped. It would dart a just a tad under accelleration from Zero to 30 mph on hard surfaces like pasture grass and old logging trails. I too run ATR's. I run 4.5psi front and 4.0psi rear.

well i used 2 steet bike stabilizers for my ac650 once i put the 28s on the tires grabbed everything so i fabricated some mounts and tigged them now the steering is alot better i will post some pics for ya if interested

Default Steering Stabilizer for P700

I have adjusted the toe a few different ways. Right now its 1/8" toe out. The P700 is very stabile until it hits around 50mph. Then the front becomes alittle light in fealing. More so when on dry pavement. The oem tires were rock solid at any speed/surface...for stability...not aggressive riding and handling.

Alright, guys. I wasn't trying to be a smart a$$, I was just implying that it is more stable in 4WD at higher speeds, at least mine is.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
