Hi everyone,,I just bought a 400cc bayou that has a noise in the engine,,,it's hard to describe the noise it's like a constant tapping that gets faster as the engine revs. It doesn't sound good. Almost like an older car engine with noisy tappets or rockers. I have been told that this noise is normal on the 93 bayou,,,,LOL by the seller of course but also by the Kawasaki dealer in the town where I bought the bike. I have since had a mechanic in my own town come and listen to it. He even had a stethoscope with him and he said he could hear nothing bad going on inside and also thinks the noise is causing no harm,,,,but i still don't like it and would like the noise to be gone,,,,I'm going to try an oil conditioner to see if it quiets down. Anyone here have any ideas?

 

it is normal all bayous have a noise when they run.. no concern..
