Anyone have a list of part numbers necessary to convert a 02 airbox to a 03? I thought someone did but I cant seem to find it. Thanks for any help.

I did it and I like it better. It provided a little more power. Not as much as other mods did.

If anyone has an old 02 650 air box set up they want to get rid of I may buy it if the price is right. They work great for me during the long races because I can change the filter in seconds.

 

When I remove my Brothers, I'll sell you the complete assembly. It will be around 2 weeks before I do the conversion.

I just read the link. It said the "stacks wont work either". Are we talking about the (2) rubber carb stacks? Do I also need to order them? Thanks!

 

Yes the stacks are different also!

 

just out of curiosity, i purchased a complete airbox assembly from some dealer who had parted out a 03 , i swapped it for my 02, i didn't buy any additional rubber seals or anything, i believe it is installed properly, or was there some other parts i needed as well.
I also have my 02 airbox with 2 additional filters including stock, K&N and Twin Air. if anyone is interested in purchasing it, make an offers, it's complete and in excellent shape.
