I called DJ today, asked about jet sizes, airbox mods. He said DJ jets and Keihin jets are of different design and can't be compared . As far as airbox mods and jetting, he had no advise other than starting at their rec. settings for elevation, pipe and filter......

That's interesting. I compared the DJ jets to the MK jet and it appeared to be smaller ( 146 DJ compared to a 130 MK). All I can add is to follow their advice if you use their kit. I just installed a Big Gun exhaust with a K+N ( lid removed) on the KFX400 and ignored thier suggestion of starting with the 150 main jet. I started with the 165MJ and ended up downsizing all the way back to the 150 for good performance. That's with their supplied needle with the clip at the 3rd position, 3.5 turns out on the fuel screw. Now it screams

I guess I will start with their rec. sizes. I will be using a Muzzy's pipe ( they rec. the D.J. kit) K&N , O/W, and D.G. snorkle( the unknown) and read plugs. Will post results.

Piston, Hey. I am new to the group and just wanted to get you feedback on the Muzzy exhaust. On Tues. I will be doing the equal length Muzzy pipe along with a dynojet and twin-air element( wich doesn't look like much but supposedly flows better than the stock air filter sock) Have you been pleased with your exhaust? what results did you feel and what is you suggestion for what may be next power wise. What does a cdi unit do hp or torque wise? thanks Man....zero60

Zero, I just got the pipe, D.J. kit, twist throttle,IMS parts, AC parts this week (mail order) --still waiting for the DG snorkle. Have not started putting together yet, will post any results. Between work and trying to remodel house very little wrench time during the week. Try to get parts ordered, do research during the week so I don't have to do it on the w/end.(wrench time)
