Thats what the dealers are saying. We went to all 4 cincy area Kaw dealers to try to trade the 360 for a 700. $4500 and the 360!!!???!!!
One dealer just looked at us and said "I dont want a 360" but looked at it when we said it was 4wd. They all said it looked great but they really didnt want it. dealer cost on an 04 he said is $4700.
Now we are faced with trying to sell it outright or keep it.

 

4600$ dealer cost lol that is a lie unless it cost them more than my dealer...... they are selling new p360 4x4's for 4699 i kn ow there making more than 100 bucks plus dealer hold back. i just bought my kfx400 and trying to trade it in on a new p360 mine is like 3 weeks old still waiting on them to call me and tell me whats its worth...

 

Place an add in the cycle trader and it will sell. Good luck!

 

I know there is no way they are paying that much for the new stuff.

He was trying to make a point that he doesn't make enough money to make the trade. But using the numbers he was throwing out I pointed out to him that if I bought the 700 outright for $6600 he would make $200 in profit but if he did the trade he could make a profit of about $1500. He told me that I didn't understamd how the market works. I told him I was using HIS numbers. Then he told us the truth, he didn't want a used machine.

 

Sell your 360 outright either in local newspaper or online,as far as what the dealer is aking for a new 700,that's way too much.Shop around and go online like I did,I sent an e-mail to all the Kawi dealers within a 100 mile radius from my house and asked them for their best deal out the door.I saved over $500 by doing that.Good luck....

 

You did better than $6600? That was one dealer and the others said they couldn't get enuf of the 700s that they were MSRP - $7100.

 

Brad,what I meant was,when I purchased my 650 new,I did alittle bit of homework first,went online to check what other dealers were asking for their in stock 650's and I used that to bargain with other dealers close to where I live.I think I did ok as far as what I paid for my 650.I had a Praire 400 that I was going to trade in but the dealers weren't going to hardly give me anything for it, book value is what they were offering but I knew it was worth more because of the condition it was in and the extra's I had installed.

 

Hey cleve, how do those Bighorns work out for you? From see other Mass riders it looks like you guys have some pretty sloppy places to ride, how are they in the mud?


BTW, Rob did all the research and knew what he wanted and how much it should be. He was willing to take a lil loss for the convenience of getting the machine right away. The dealers are all happy to talk to you and all of em say "bring it in, we can deal on that," then when you get there they talk to the owner and say they aren't looking for used machines.

The p360 is cleaned and looking sharp. Its hard to take it out on the trails to dirty up again then come home and someone wants to look at it and its still muddy. Until he gets the 700 or decides to keep the 360, I'll be missing my main riding buddy.

 

The Bighorns are awesome,they're not really a mud tire although I have gotten into some sticky stuff and gotten out ok but I would'nt cross a deep mudhole and expect to get out.I wish Maxxis had them in 26 or 27in sizes,that would make alot more difference on what you could expect out of them.I would recommend Bighorns in a heartbeat.I have used them in a foot of snow,no problems...I can still get the rear to swing around if I punch the throttle.

 

Sell it on e bay with a reserve I just sold my wifes new 700 v force for $4800.00 but paid $5900.00 just few months ago .Plus it had less then 5 hrs on it .If you want to play you got to pay .Next toy I am buying is new Fatboy Harley at least they hold the value.
