Flywheel key

Default Flywheel key

WHich way do you put the cut out notch. Toward the front of the bike or toward the rear of the bike? Or if that confuses you which way does the flywheel need to move to advance the timing counterclock wise or clockwise?

Counterclockwise
if the key is up......put the cutout to the rear
the starter drive will help hold the flywheel

Also be careful putting the impeller back on
I used a 1/4 drive ratchet for this

Thanks. I was going to do it tonight but I realized that April is just a few weeks away and I am waiting for the CDI.

I'm trying to locate a flywheel puller for my kfx700. I haven't been able to locate one on any web site.

jansboy, you can get a flywheel puller at any dealership that has parts unlimited. It is the same puller used on yamaha warriors

How much diffrence will I feel with a 6* key ?I have a HL module now.Is it a similar gain? thanks
