I talked to these guys a while back, based on a buddies recommendation.

www.HSDracing.com

They were cheaper than getting from Elka direct, that's all I can remember.

Whenever you call the manufacturer of a product, you will always be quoted a higher price than if you call one of their distributers. They have to guarantee their distributers that they won't undersell them.

Give Christian Paul Motorsports a call.. 518-661-6321.. ask for rick.. i ordered my Elkas and Hipers from him. great to deal with in my opinion. just hard to get in touch with them when they are busy which is usually all the time but when you do, he will give you a great price.. best way is to shop around. i got my triple rate front, piggyback, res, comp, no pre-load and rear shock dual, piggy, res, comp and rebound for 1500.. it may have been a little below.

Called Colby at C & D Racing today. He set me up with triple rate, no res, for 525$ to my door. Be here next friday. He figured I'd be better off without the zero preload for now since I'm only doing fronts. He said with them I would have the top spring cranked down to achieve level ride. He said he could add the ZPL for $20 per when I get the rear shocks. Thanks, Quadfather

Called C&D Thursday, got a quote of $895 front compression only, and 820 for rear. She said elka had asked everyone to not sell below retail anymore. However they were including shock wears free and shipping free. She said that was their way of still giving a discount.

I purchased my Elka's from Rick at Christain Paul Motorsports @ 518-661-6321. I got that info from this forum and it was cheaper then if I would have gone directly thru Elka. This was almost a year ago however, Putt

Here are some Elka prices from Precision Powersports - just for comparison. Are you sure you guys are talking about the same shocks? The options are so varied, you probably need to be careful when talking prices that you specify EXACTLY which Elka you're getting... these are just the fronts, and I didn't include the Elites which add high and low speed adjustment for compression and rebound, or the long travel quadruple rates. So here are about half the options:

E36 Triple - Triple Rate, No Reservoir, No Preload, Ride Height Adjustable $524.99

RR36B Triple - Triple Rate, Remote Reservoir, No Preload, Ride Height Adjustable $740.99

RR36C/PB36C Triple - Triple Rate, Remote Reservoir or Piggyback, Compression Adjustable, No Preload, Ride Height Adjustable $885.99

RR36CR/PB36CR Triple - Triple Rate, Remote Reservoir or Piggyback, Compression and Rebound Adjustable, No Preload, Ride Height Adjustable $1055.99

It's pretty much exactly what Pistonman paid, except for the free shipping. Are you saying that you should be able to get the no-res triple for less than 525? Where?
