I called Jahn at Elka today aboot (sic) shocks for the V-- I was thinking I was going to order front triple rate no res units for $525. NOT. He said the V is too heavy, needs the xtra capacity. 2 front triple rate (zero pre load ) shocks with attached res are $895. With remote res -I think he said $1070. Rear is $ 820. Said can work with stock rear if needed by backing spring tension off to compensate for lower ride in front. Called back hoping to ask if the price was before or after the exchange rate.( hoping but probably not ) They were closed. Also he said they were 2 weeks out.

I was going to order them for sure@ $525. Figured for $895 I might shop around a little. But one thing is for sure-- now that I have at least $8000+ into it, I'm not going to have it ride like a '48 Chev pickup!...In for a penny.........

I talked to Jahn about three weeks ago before I bought mine (Elkas). He said the triple rate, no rezzies shocks were perfect for the V, no remotes necessary. Been riding on them since, and it's like riding on a cloud.

I tried to explain that to him but he insisted I had to have them on a V-Force. I told him I don't race,(formally) I just ride dunes and woods.

I'm not happy to hear this. For $525.oo (shipped) sounded like a good next mod. But $895 and up makes you want to look around more.

I guess the AXIS suspenders are a good choice, according to a friend that races GNCC with his V. What about OHLINS suspenders? I do like ELKA'S customer service. These people DO make an effort to promptly return inquiries! They got back with me very quickly ,when I had questions about P-700 suspenders. Good luck! There are SO MANY choices out there..............
