Default HELP!!!! STRIPPED SCREW!!!

I stripped a screw on my carb while attempting to change needles. Please tell me there's a "miracle tool" for removing this screw.

Default HELP!!!! STRIPPED SCREW!!!

If you have a small vise-grip pliers try that. Otherwise go find yourself an easy-out.

Default HELP!!!! STRIPPED SCREW!!!

Depends where the screw is. Best bet is to drill it and use an easy out. The tool from sears is good but Ive only had it work about half the times with soft metal. I usually end up drilling and using an easy out

Default HELP!!!! STRIPPED SCREW!!!

By stripped I assume you mean the head is stripped, not broken off. Grab the head of the screw with tiny vice-grips or even wire cutters. If that doesn't work, take the carb off, cut a slot for a slotted screwdriver using a Dremel and a cut-off wheel. If you continue to use the Phillips head screws, buy yourself a really high quality carbon tipped screwdriver.

Default HELP!!!! STRIPPED SCREW!!!

Thanks for the tips guys. The vise-grips did the trick. Funny how sometimes you can't think of simple **** once you reach the point of total frustration! Anyway the P650 is running GREAT now!

Default HELP!!!! STRIPPED SCREW!!!

your best bet is to do like alot of us and replace those mushy screw with allen head bolts if im not mistaken they are 4mm by 14 mm can easly be purchesed from lowes for i think 75 cents for 2 but i may be mistaking what your talking about im talking about the bowl screws and plus the allen heads in my opinion are faster for quick changes when ya on the trail and have to make some minor adjustments
