dial a jet?dyno jet?

hay what is the best brand of jets. how good is this dynojet thing. does it give the same ammount of power increase as the conventional way of jetting. wich is better. obviously the dial a jet is easier.

the needle in the dynojet kits are suppose to be good because of the ease of ajustments the actual jet itself is probably the same other than the numbering process.
so stock jet and dynojet are probably the same. its the needles that most everyone likes.
however the dial a jet system is completely different.all the info

If you don't ride at alot of different alt. then the dyno jet is probably the best way to go. The dial a jets are imo the best way to go if you are rideing at alot of different alt. such as i am. You gotta make sure you get it dialed in right though It took me several attempts at jetting and adjusting the dial a jets before i finally got fed up with it and took it in to the shop and had it hooked up to a dyno. Runs pretty darn good now. We will see how it runs at higher alt. though.
Good luck either way you go.

I'm surprised how many people here like the Dial-A-Jets. They have been around for many years in the snowmobile world and nobody likes them. Maybe it's because sled carbs are easier to work on. Stock needles are adjustable and main jets are a snap to change.

Humm, I don't know who your Sled friends are, but in my community, Dial-a-Jets still have a very good reputation. Lonn supports his product well and it works as far as I'm concerned.
I am planing to do a dyno run soon, mainly to verify proper mixture with an analyzer while on the dyno...

The consensus on the sled forums is that the Dial-A-Jets aren't worth the effort.
I never said they didn't work. I've never tried one and don't know much about them other than guys(not my friends) have experienced poor engine performance and blown motors which I'm sure is their own damn fault. Alot of sleds now have electronic altitude compensators which probably conflict with a Dial-A-Jet.

i think im going to go with the dyno jet than. let me get this right. first i should get my pilot right since it affects the others then needle and then main. right. also how many degrees does it take to really throw off your jetting. like if it drops 10* from when i jet it am i going to have to worry about blowing up.
