man dadbandit my v would do 75 mph with out the cdi but i have clutch mods to. it would stay with my predator on top and it will do 75 mph. i no that is fact cause had it done by radar. that was before i put the vortex on the predator, no way my v will stay with it now. im happy, be more happy when i get the 800cc kit.

I dont know where you got your speed figures, but with me at 220 lbs on it, and my dad running next to me on the road with his klr650 i was clocked at 75mph. The V-Force is completely stock, running 93 octane pump gas. And i really dont think that altitude could change that top end that far.

gotti a had a klr and after 65mph the speed wasnt correct. i got my speed figures from radar gun and drag strips. my stock V would not do 75mph no matter where i was and im 200lb. the stock exhaust is to restrictive. im not going to say yours wouldnt cause i wasnt there.

Your speedo could have been off. But seeing that its a 04 and has about 600 miles on it. I doubt that the speedo was off. And we have also run a YFZ with it and it clocked out at 82 mph. Same as it was clocked with a ZX-6r. It would seriously be hard that both bikes speedos could be off the same duration. I dont wanna sound like a d*ck but i dont think its off at all.

When we did radar gun test the rev limit would kick in at 75 mph. This is with a stock V-force with a EPI pink spring and a Twin air filter.

I used a highway patrol certified radar gun. Before each outing we checked the accuracy using the tuning forks for both low speed 35MPH and high speed 65MPH. Both KFX-700 have stock springs. Been trying to decide between Dalton or EPI. I have been testing other modifications and have gotten top speeds up to 71 MPH with the stock Pipe and 74MPH with a Power Pro Pipe. I am off to Buttercup this weekend and will be running more test the following weekend.
