Got it out on our track today for break in and some testing. The motor is very stong, it outruns our 400ex's on the drag strip. He was killing the ex's on the track, but alot of that was the riders.

I'm still waiting on the +2 swingarm, also getting a smaller rear sprocket (allready up 2 teeth in front), it really needs both as he couldn't keep the front end down coming out of corners even in 3rd.

I also need to due some fine tuning on the suspension and some clutch adjustment, but other than that it ran great

JayBR,

I have tried the 36 mikuni you are running and it was ok. I still felt like it had a slight flat spot that I could not get rid of, it just wasn't as crisp as I wanted down low when snapping into the throttle. I went with a 400ex carb and it made everything better except the very top end. I removed the choke from it before putting it on. The 400 carb may have hurt the top end a little but I feel it is better and faster because it is more responsive in the range you ride in most of the time. All this is on a stock bore with about the same mods you have. I am going to try a 38mm lectron on my big bore motor, of course it has no pump either but i could afford it and have heard it will work well. Greg at CWR thinks it will be really good. The 36 mikuni worked pretty good for me and may have been better on a big bore like you are running but I really like the 400 carb better.

Anyone ever tried the Keihn 37mm FCR carb? They are expensive, but I hear their about the best MX carb out there.

That's what I want but can't afford it. Have bid on a couple on ebay but they always get too high for me. The 37mm is hard to find. Comes stock on the Yamaha and Kawi 250 4stroke dirt bikes.

I'll have to keep an eye on Ebay. The 36 is running great right now but I'll try the FCR if I can find a deal on one.

I just ordered a new set of Elka Elites for the quad, anybody need some good Elka sport fronts?

The Big Gun produces good power and it is very loud. I'm running the race core.

The only thing I'm dissapointed in with the pipe is the finish. It has a ceramic coating on it, but it hasn't held up as well as I expected and has worn off in a couple spots.

Ya man the Tri oval Would be a sweet pipe for the mojave
I think you can buy Unavirsle ones, and maby you ight be able to take an old stock one and cut off the pice that hooks up to your header, and then weld that to your other one.... It could be done pretty easy i think!
