Default hard to handle at high speeds

These bikes are extremely easy to knock out of alignment, due to the weak tie rods. A vibration is a dynamic thing.......as in out of balance tire or brake disc. Sounds like, on occassion, you get mud packed in on the inside bead of the wheel(s) causing a random pattern vibration. My advice: Learn how to set the toe yourself, check it often. I can stand in frt of the bike, with wheels straight ahead, and get an idea if it is in alignment. The easiest way to check alignment (IMO)is: Place handle bars in the straight ahead position. Hold them in place with crossed tie-downs. The tires USUALLY have a mold mark running dead center thru the tread. Using THIS mark as an index, to measure the distance between the frt. tires in 2 OPPOSITE places, and adjust the tierod ends accordingly. It takes me about 2 minutes to CHECK toe, about 20 min. to do a toe adj. It is very easy. Good Luck.

I had high speed instability, was toed out about 1/4''-- reset to 1/8" in (evenly) have not tried yet-- on a V-Force does this sound right? Two different suggestions on this thread...

Piston-- Sounds right to me. I set mine at 1/4"TOTAL toe IN. 1/8''Toe-in, each side! Works for me.

sure is. with the stock tie rods the guy that drives my race quad (vforce) says when he is rounding corners he sees the tie rod bowing in and out. it always seems straight when he finishes. all that tells me is the toe in and toe out is changes while the bike is moving. checked and ajusted a number of times.

Thanks- I forgot to mention I set that at ride height, should toe be set with front off the ground? Seems to change as susp. is cycled.
