I have Renthal 'ATV-racer' bend on mine, really made the V alot smoother.

And man was it nice to get rid of those blister causing stock grips!

Ill look in to them. I know what you mean by the blister causing grips. Did everything go back on the bars ok?

It was all pretty tight, I had to drill for the ***'y pins so they don't twist. If I remember correctly you have to put the shifter side on first because the cables aren't long enough to stretch. Something like that anyway, anyone else maybe help out on this.

Default handle bars for the vforce

hey chop,

i also got the trail tech x bars with the clamp and speedo
mine seem a little difficult to mount up.
the choke is not right now, i had to take the cable out to make a quick fix so i could ride, i am going to spend some more time on getting it right.
i also think i am going to have to play with the throtle now, when i turn hard to the left it revs up.
everything on the left side was way to cramped and i could not get it all ligned up the best, i am going to have to play with it some more soon.

if anyone has experience with the same problems and has any advice, i would like to hear from you.

thanks, crashdog

I also have the TrailTech X bars and Billet Clamp, it looks awesome! I rode all last weekend and really like the bend. The clamp brings the bars up about 1.5 inches, and the mid-height that i have end up being just a bit higher then stock. They are also slightly more forward with a flatter sweep. I found them to be very comfortable and easier to stand. They don't have quite as much mounting room as the stock bars for the grip shift and rear brake lever. I also mounted PowerMadd Handguards which take up even more room. The Rear Brake lever ended up being mountted at the downward bend of the bars. I thought I would bend the lever to put it back in position. Good Idea until i snapped the lever off. I took the whole brake lever, parking brake, and cable off. I did not miss it at all last weekend, just used the foot brake I also run Pro Grip ATV/Jet Ski Grips which are nice and soft.
The stock bars are soft, I bent them both ways twice, once during a 40 mph roll over (ouch), once with my chest as I had a power wheelie gone bad. You can get the Trail tech stuff right off their website cheaper then some of the mail order companies.

I forgot to mention, I didn't want to drill the holes in the bars for the shifter and Throttle tabs. i ground them down and wrapped the bars with grip tape underneath them. they are more solid now then when new.

Stock 400ex Renthals will fit all the factory stuff with plenty of room and a much nicer bend. Send Sincityduner a message to make sure I got the correct bars listed.
