I never separated the spider from the moveable sheave, but, I can visualize what you are saying.

I don't know if all of the different Comet springs and weights will fit this new clutch, but if they do it looks like Comet has a better selection of different springs and weights than any other clutch tuning company.

DWB... looks like I'll have that "new toy" to test this week or next, so what ever works for you... I'm a little corn fused... are you getting this Comet Primary ??? or is it threaded for the left side ???

I finished up modding my radiator shrouding, & customized my front grill ( I should have taken pictures, because IMO, this mod looks WAY better than stock... kinda looks like an F-150, with a custom grill insert )( I cut out the grill louvers, & shaved it, & installed a heavy gauge, tight weave stainless screen... It looks awesome )... I'll complete my custom headlight opening duct work this week end, & this should guarentee that my new motor never gets hot ( ready for testing then )... I still need to get my High Lifter temp gauge hooked up, & the Evans NPG+ installed, then I'll be close to ready for the hot summer racing season ...

I also have the V Force belt cover ( no KBEC ), & Dalton V Force Overdrive face plate, & a V Force, EPI pink & Polaris yellow springs to try... but will probably hold off on the clutch work, until the "new toy" is fully tested...

 

keep us posted on the test.... don't set any land speed records. WAM...pic's.pic's

If you need a test pilot to test a new clutch system let me know I will have another P700 in 2 weeks. Snow is almost gone at least I can get outside for fresh air now. I am making a leg support on the side of the quad leg sticks up like a battering ram, quite comfy actually.
